Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing and developing automation and production solutions from initial idea to serial readiness
- Creating mechanical designs and plant layouts in CAD (Siemens NX, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor)
- Designing system architecture for complex automation solutions including robot integration (KUKA, ABB, FANUC)
- Defining interfaces between mechanics, electrics, control systems and safety technology
- Designing conveyor systems, machining stations and robotic cells
- Technical design, calculation and preparation of quotations for customer projects
- Technical leadership of interdisciplinary project teams (mechanics, electrics, PLC, commissioning)
- Close collaboration with customers, suppliers and internal project stakeholders
- Supporting projects from concept phase through FAT/SAT to serial operation
Your profile
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field (Diploma, Bachelor or Master)
- At least 7 years of professional experience in design or systems architecture of automation plants
- Very good CAD skills (Siemens NX, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor)
- Sound knowledge in the integration of industrial robots (KUKA, ABB, FANUC)
- Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal) an advantage
- Experience leading project teams and collaborating with customers
- Solid understanding of standards and directives for machinery and plant construction (CE, Machinery Directive)
- A high degree of initiative, problem-solving skills and technical understanding
- Careful working style and team orientation
- Confident manner with customers
- Good to fluent written and spoken German
- Good knowledge of English
- Willingness to travel for projects
- Class B driving licence
